Dry Garlic Chutney

Dear Friend

Garlic chutney is very famous in Maharashtra, India. Here is how I make the spicy, tasty chutney which can be eaten with many dishes like Vada Pav, Bhaji Pav, Dhokla, Samosa

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Cooking time 5-7 minutes

Garlic – 10 to 15 cloves
Coriander seeds – ¼ cup
Cumin – 1 tsp
Roasted split gram – ½ cup
Shredded Coconut – ½ cup
Red chili powder – 1 to 2 tbsp.
Salt to taste

1. Roast coriander, cumin, split gram in a dry pan until you can smell the aroma. Add shredded coconut at the end and remove from the heat. Remove the roasted mixture in a plate.IMG_44742. Roast garlic cloves in the same pan with little oil for a minute
3. Grind all the ingredient including salt and chili powder in a mixer, do not add water
Enjoy the hot and spicy chutney. It can be store in a fridge for few days.
