When watermelons are in season, I like to use it as much as I can. It is mostly available during summer so why not prepare refreshing soda using watermelon and orange. At my house whenever I have a get together, I like to serve seasonal fruit juice and something different which I have not prepared before. This drink is so refreshing and full of flavors. It is very easy to prepare and you can prepare it ahead of time.
Here is how I prepared it…
Preparation Time: less than 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 0 minutes
3 cups watermelon pieces
1 whole orange segments
Small pinch of salt
1/2 tsp chat masala
5-6 mint leaves
1 can chilled club soda (or sparkling water)
1 can chilled Canada Dry or 7 Up or Sprite or Ginger Ale
1. Keep a few slices of watermelon on side and cut in tiny bits.
2. In a blender jar, mix watermelon big pieces, orange segments, salt, mint leaves and chat masala. Blend everything well. Leave it in a refrigerator until you are ready to use.
3. When you are ready to serve the drink, in a big jug mix watermelon orange mixture, add club soda and other can of any sweet soda. Mix well. Add tiny bits of watermelon which you kept on side. Serve this refreshing mint flavoured watermelon orange soda immediately before soda becomes flat.
