Mix Green Apple Smoothie

Dear Friends,

This is a perfect green smoothie for breakfast not only to satisfy the hunger but also gives great feeling of eating something so nutritious to start the hectic day. During this time of  the year we get plenty of apples in the market. It is quick and easy to make but very nutritious and refreshing.  This way you can make picky eater to eat fruits and vegetables. You can have it with breakfast or anytime of the day. I am using blender not a juicer so all the fiber remains in the juice and we all know the benefits of fiber for our digestive system.

Preparation Time: less than 5 minutes

Cooking Time: 0 minutes

2 cup salad mix greens
1 big apple cut in big pieces
2 inch piece of seedless cucumber
1/2 cup coriander leaves
small piece of ginger
1 tbsp lemon juice
Few ice cubes and/or some water
Pinch of salt


1. Wash and clean mix green salad mix, coriander and apple and cut.

2. In a blender, first add half cup water and then chopped fruit, veges, pinch of salt and lemon juice. Blend it to a smooth paste. Add water if needed to adjust consistency. Also add ice and blend till everything is smooth.

3. Serve this healthy, nutritious and refreshing cold smoothie immediately before it changes colour.

Must try this very easy to make smoothie anytime of the year and feel refreshed and energized. You can add honey if you like it sweet.
