Hello Friends,
How are you all doing? I am so annoyed with avocado. When I buy a bag of avocado, either they are very hard, green and unripe or they are so soft, black and over ripe. I never find which has perfect consistency of slightly green black skin and perfectly ripe from inside. If I keep it outside for few days they over ripe.
Now I buy the bag of green avocado. After bringing home, I remove the end where the stem part is. I use the sharp edge of knife to slowly remove the end of the stem part and then keep it outside until it is slightly ripe. Then I will keep in the refrigerator until time to use. Avocado stays fresh for many days and also the pulp will be perfectly green when cut. You have to try to believe it! Also check out my other hacks/tips and tricks here.
Additional Tip: If you are using only half avocado at a time, keep the seed in the other half and cover with avocado (the one you used the pulp) skin. I have experience that it doesn’t not get brown for few hours.
I am sure you will love this hack. You can even deep freeze ripe avocados and use it for smoothies. Make sure to first freeze first in ice cube tray and then transfer to freezer bag.

You can mesh it and then put in ziplock bag. Then use it for smoothies.

Useful share. I buy it in small quantity with a fear of spoiling it fast. Now I will try this trick. Thanks

If avocados are green when we buy, keep them outside, watch their color change. Once they turn into a dark color, put them in the refrigerator. Sometimes we put them in the freezer for making smoothies if we can’t use when they are ripe and many on hand!

I too refrigerate avocados at the first sign of getting ripe. They keep well for a very long time. Ones I have forgotten about at the back of the refrigerator have become wrinkled on the outside but the flesh was as good as fresh with no blemishes.
