Orange Apple Smoothie

Dear Friends,

I love preparing different types of smoothie depending on what fruits I have at home. This smoothie is quick, easy and extremely nutritious. It only needs 3 ingredients. You can have it with breakfast, a perfect start of the day. Orange gives a nice flavour and slight tang to the smoothie. I have also added Whey protein powder for added protein. This recipe makes 3 full glass of smoothie.
It is hard to eat 4-5 serving of fruits and vegetables per day (As per Canada Food Guide, adult and children need to eat 4-5 servings of fruits and vegetables per day), this way you can meet the daily requirement.

Preparation Time: less than 5 minutes

Cooking Time: 0 minutes

1 orange peeled and slices separated
1 apple cut in big pieces
1 banana cut in big pieces
1 scoop (40 gm) Whey protein powder (optional)
Few ice cubes


1. Prepare fruits for smoothie.

2. In a blender, first add half cup water and then chopped fruit and Whey protein powder. Blend it to a smooth juice. Add water if needed to adjust consistency. Also add crushed ice and blend till everything is smooth.

3. Serve this healthy, nutritious and refreshing cold smoothie immediately. Orange Apple Smoothie

Must try this very easy to make juice anytime of the year. It will make you feel refreshed and energized. This is also good for after workout. You can add honey if you like more sweet.
