Vegetable Pizza

Hello Friends,

My friends and family all love my pizza so decided to share my recipe with you all. This is a crowd pleasure, everyone’s favorite and good for any night of the week or lazy Sunday supper. This recipe serves 4 people.

Preparation Time: 30 minutes

Cooking Time: 30 minutes


For Dough
2 1/2 cups each of Plain flour or All-purpose flour and wheat flour
Olive oil or any cooking oil – 2 tbsp
Caraway seeds – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Active Dry yeast – 1 tsp
Pinch of sugar
Warm water

For Filling
1 can pizza sauce
1 tomato sliced
1 onion sliced
3-4 mushrooms sliced
Few pieces of canned pineapple
Black olives
Pickled jalapeno
1/2 tsp crushed chills
Dry or fresh Oregano
Mozzarella cheese


1. In a cup take 1/3 cup warm water (not hot), add pinch of sugar and mix. Add 1 tsp dry yeast, quick stir and keep on side to activate. If yeast does not activate then throw the mixture away and restart. Water should be luck warm not hot otherwise yeast does not activate.

2. Mix all the ingredients for the dough including activated yeast and make soft dough with warm water. Knead the dough properly. Place the dough in a greased bowl and put it in a warm place to rise for 2-3 hours until dough doubles in size.

After leaving Pizza dough in warm place for 2 hours

3. Spread the dough on a pizza tray. 1st layer pizza sauce then add cheese and all the topping. Sprinkle oregano and crushed chilies and bake at 450F for 12 -15 minutes and see the bottom is baked properly or bake few more minutes. Then bake another 2 minutes on broil.

4. Enjoy the warm pizza with soda or salad on side. You will notice caraway seeds gives pizza base a distinct flavor which everyone will wonder 🙂 . We love the heat from jalapeno and sweetness from pineapple.

After preparing these pizza at, you will never order again. Have fun cooking this pizza with your own choice of topping. I like my pizza sweet, sour and spicy….yum. You can also mix some chili sauce with pizza sauce to add the heat.

    1. Hi Chhaya, I usually preheat my oven at 375 F for 3-4 minutes and then put the pizza tray in. Bake Pizza for about 12-15 minutes and then check if the crust is golden brown from below, if not, then bake for few more minutes. Hope this helps!
