Garlic Coriander Chutney

Hello Friends,

In India chutney is a condiment served with all the meals. It is like a dip. We make many different varieties of chutney, this one is made of mainly coriander leaves and garlic. This is also known as green chutney.

Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Cooking Time: 0 minutes

Ingredients:

Chopped coriander leaves with stems – 2 cups
Garlic – 4-5 cloves
Ginger – 1 inch cube
Green chilies – 2
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Peanuts – 1 tbsp
Olive oil – 1 tbsp
Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
Salt to taste

Procedure

1. Roughly chop coriander leaves, ginger, garlic and green chilies.

2. In a blender/mixer, fist grind garlic, ginger, green chilies, cumin seeds and peanuts with 1/4 cup of water and make slightly smooth paste.

3. In the same blender add chopped coriander leaves and blend it until it is smooth. Add lemon juice, olive oil and salt and blend it for 30 seconds. Chutney is now ready. You can store it for 1-2 months in a deep freezer. Use the small container or baby food bottles to store, and remove one bottle at a time to use.

Serve this spicy and tangy chutney with paratha, Cutlet or as dip.
