Creamy Oatmeal

Hello Friends,

Here is the recipe for most nutritious and healthy breakfast. I have been eating it almost daily for last few year and never got tired of it. I still love it every time I eat :). I keep all the dry ingredients ready in my pantry and it saves a lot of time in the morning.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Cooking Time: 2 minutes

Ingredients:

Steel cut/Quick Oats – 30 gm
Milk/Water – 1 cup
Chopped almond – 4-5
Sunflower seeds – 1 tbsp
Flex seed powder – 1 tbsp
Cinnamon powder – 1 pinch
Raisins – 1 tbsp
Fruit of choice – berries, chopped banana or grated apple.

Procedure

1. Mix Oatmeal and milk/water in a microwaveable bowl and microwave for 2 minutes or may be less or until it is creamy in texture. It takes 1 min 20 sec in my microwave. Remember to use big bowl. You can use milk or water as per your choice but I prefer milk. Also adjust the consistency of the mixture as per your liking. You can also cook this on stove to/gas, add little extra milk/water.

2. Remove the bowl from microwave and stir the mixture, add remaining ingredients including fruit of your choice. You can add sugar if you like more sweet but fruit and raisins gives enough sweetness. If you don’t have any of the above ingredients no worries. Walnut pieces also goes well with oatmeal.

Creamy Oatmeal

This is the most nutritious bowl of goodness. Change the ingredients and make as per your taste.

Hope you will enjoy making this easy creamy oatmeal as I do 🙂
