2 Ingredient Dry Methi Muthia in Air Fryer

This is the quickest muthia prepared using 2 ingredients. I use these methi muthia when I make Gujarati undhiyu (mix vegetable). To prepare muthia at home is a bit lengthy process and need many ingredients. I don’t always find methi leaves easily here in Toronto. Depending on the time and ingredients I have, I make at home or sometime buy ready made muthia (snack pack) from grocery store and use them. While shopping at Indian grocery store, I saw instant methi gota pack. I looked at the ingredients and noticed that all the ingredients are same as I use in making methi na muthia. I thought why can’t I use the mix instead of separate ingredients. I decided to give it a try and it worked!! Muthia came out perfect. I used air fryer instead of deep fry. It was quick, super easy and delicious. You can store in fridge for up to a month. When I made undhiyu again, I used it these muthia.

3. You can either deep fry these muthia on medium heat until crispy and brown. I used air fryer.
4. Pre heat air fryer on air fry mode 200C 20 mins. While air fryer is preheating. rub little oil on each muthia. Once air fryer is preheated, spread muthia on trivet. Close the air fryer and let it fry. Turn it after 10 minutes. Check after another 5 minutes and see if it is done. Mine took around 17-18 minutes. Turn off the air fryer once it’s cooked.

5. Let it cool completely before you store it. Store in a clean dry air tight container. It stores well at room temperature for couple of days. If you want to keep it for longer time then refrigerate it.
6. You can eat this just as snacks with tea or add it to undhiya or any sabji per your choice.
