Dry Garlic Chutney

Garlic chutney is very famous in Maharashtra, India. Here is how I make the spicy, tasty chutney which can be eaten with many dishes like Vada Pav, Pav bhaji, Dhokla, Samosa

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Cooking time 5-7 minutes

Ingredients:
Garlic – 10 to 15 cloves
Coriander seeds – ¼ cup
Cumin – 1 tsp
Roasted split gram – ½ cup
Shredded Coconut – ½ cup
Red chili powder – 1 to 2 tbsp.
Salt to taste

Procedure:
1. Roast coriander, cumin, split gram in a dry pan until you can smell the aroma. Add shredded coconut at the end and remove from the heat. Remove the roasted mixture in a plate.

2. Roast garlic cloves in the same pan with little oil for a minute

3. Grind all the ingredient including salt and chili powder in a mixer, do not add water

Enjoy the hot and spicy chutney. It can be store in a fridge for few days.
